The assigned mentor will first contact you through email then to set up the first meeting and a potential schedule. The mentor will have a good understanding of what your child is like before the first meeting from the information you provided in the mentee application form. During the first meeting, the mentor will introduce themselves and express some of their interests. Afterward, the mentor will do a diagnostic to see what materials your child knows and don't know in the subjects they will be teaching. After this diagnostic, the mentor can now plan lessons to address the student’s weaknesses and work on material they do not know. The mentor will provide additional contact information and ask you if you have any additional questions.
